No, there is no charge for using the PAY WITH CHARLIE app.

Do I need an account to use PAY WITH CHARLIE?

No, an account is not required to use the PAY WITH CHARLIE app.

How can I pay with PAY WITH CHARLIE at the vending machine?

Before you start the PAY WITH CHARLIE app, please make sure Bluetooth is enabled and there is an internet connection.

Step 1: Scan the QR code or select one of the displayed vending machines in the app.

Step 2: Select your desired product at the vending machine.

Step 3: Select your desired payment method.

After the payment is approved, you can remove your selected product from the vending machine.

How can I pay with PAY WITH CHARLIE at SnackBoxes?

Before you start the PAY WITH CHARLIE app, please make sure you have an internet connection.

Step 1: Scan the QR code.

Step 2: Enter the amount of the selected product.

Step 3: Select your desired payment method.

After the payment is approved, you can take your selected product from the SnackBox.

How does PAY WITH CHARLIE connect to the vending machine?

Scanning the QR code connects to the vending machine via Bluetooth.

At which machines can I pay with PAY WITH CHARLIE?

Vending machines where you can pay with PAY WITH CHARLIE are marked with a PAY WITH CHARLIE sticker.

Is my data securely stored without an account?

Yes, the credit card data is encrypted.

What payment methods are available?

In the current version of the app, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Diners Club, Discover, Apple Pay and Google Pay as well as PayPal can currently be stored as payment methods. Payment by cell phone bill and SEPA direct debit will follow shortly.

How do I store payment methods in the app?

In the lower right corner of the PAY WITH CHARLIE app there is an icon that can be used to open the menu.

Under the menu item ,,Payment” a payment method can be selected and by clicking on the plus sign payment methods can be added.

PayPal is automatically offered for use. If Apple Pay or Google Pay is already stored on the smartphone, this payment method is also automatically offered for use.

How do I delete a credit card?

In the lower right corner of the PAY WITH CHARLIE app, there is an icon that can be used to open the menu.

Under the menu item “Payment” all inserted credit cards are visible. If you use the swipe gesture to the left, the desired credit card is deleted.

My transaction did not work, how can I claim it?

Please fill out the following form for a complaint. Our staff will check your complaint and read the error log of the affected device.
In case of traceable errors, the money will be refunded to your selected payment method. This process can take about 2-3 working days.

    The PAY WITH CHARLIE app shows me an incorrect price, what now?

    Cancel the operation and contact the vending machine operator.

    No vending machine is displayed to me in the PAY WITH CHARLIE app, what can I do?
    • The vending machine is already in current use
    • There is no network connection
    • Check the connection settings of your profile in the app menu
    The vending machine stops during the purchase. What could be the reason for this?
    • The connection may have been technically interrupted
    • The Bluetooth has been turned off
    • The app has been closed
    • You have moved too far away from the vending machine
